Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2, 2026
1. Introduction
ToolSuite ("we", "us", or "our") operates a suite of free online tools at toolsuite.app and its subdomains. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information. By using any ToolSuite product, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve our tools. This includes: actions performed within the tool (such as button clicks, feature usage, and settings selections); file metadata such as file size, file type, and dimensions (we never access or store the contents of your files); randomly generated session identifiers; timestamps of interactions; browser type, version, and language; operating system and device category (desktop, tablet, or mobile); screen resolution; and referring URL. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses in our analytics storage, or any other personally identifiable information.
3. How We Collect Information
Usage analytics are collected via HTTP POST requests sent from your browser to our API endpoints when you interact with a tool. Each interaction (such as compressing an image, formatting JSON, or generating a QR code) sends a small analytics payload containing only the anonymous data points listed above. File processing happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers for processing.
4. Why We Collect Information
We use anonymous usage data to: understand which features are most used so we can prioritize improvements; identify usability issues and bugs; guide product development and new feature planning; monitor tool performance and reliability; and analyze aggregate usage patterns across our suite of tools.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
ToolSuite uses minimal browser storage. We store a session identifier in sessionStorage that expires when you close your browser tab. Your dark mode preference is saved in localStorage under the key "toolsuite-dark-mode". A cookie consent acknowledgment flag is stored in localStorage under "ts_cookie_consent". We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use fingerprinting techniques.
6. Third-Party Services
ToolSuite does not currently use any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. All analytics are collected and processed by our own infrastructure. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and notify users via the cookie consent banner.
7. Data Retention
Anonymous analytics data is retained indefinitely in aggregate form. Because the data contains no personally identifiable information, it cannot be linked back to any individual user. Session identifiers are randomly generated per browser session and are not associated with any user account or identity.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, traditional data subject rights under GDPR (such as access, rectification, or deletion requests) do not apply to our anonymous analytics data, as there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you prefer not to send analytics data, you can use browser extensions that block outgoing requests to our analytics endpoints, or disable JavaScript (though this will prevent the tools from functioning). You may clear your localStorage and sessionStorage at any time through your browser settings to remove the session ID, dark mode preference, and cookie consent flag.
9. Children's Privacy
ToolSuite tools are general-purpose utilities not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since we collect no personal information from any user, there is no children's data at risk.
10. Data Security
All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). File processing occurs entirely client-side in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly, meaning your file contents never transit our network. Analytics payloads contain only the anonymous data points described above.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ToolSuite after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will display a notice on our tools.
